Weatherization Rebate Program

Program Description

Southwest Gas is currently offering rebates on the purchase and installation of cost-effective weatherization measures. Eligible weatherization measures include windows, attic insulation, floor insulation, and duct sealing and insulation.

Rebates are limited to new weatherization measures only; leased used or rebuilt weatherization measures are not eligible. Rebate applications are limited to no more than one (1) for each qualifying weatherization measure type per customer. Any individual rebate amount cannot exceed 75% of the total purchase and installation cost.

Rebate Application

Request a rebate application by calling 1-866-802-7790, or download an application from this webpage. Rebates can also be completed on online, click here.

Purchase Dates

Rebates are available for purchases and installations made July 1, 2010 through November 30, 2011, or until funds are no longer available, or until program is discontinued, whichever comes first. Due to limited funding, please submit your application as soon as possible after purchase and installation. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application Deadline

Rebate application must be postmarked by December 15th, 2011.

Required Documents

Along with the completed, signed rebate application that includes your Southwest Gas account number, please submit a copy of your receipt(s) and/or invoice(s) that show itemized purchase price, date, U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (for windows) or R-value (for insulation) and quantity (in square feet). If a contractor installs the weatherization measure, a copy of the installation invoice including installation cost and date must also be submitted with the application.

Processing Time For Rebate

Please allow 6 - 8 weeks to receive your rebate.

Limitations

This offer is limited to weatherization measures installed in a Southern Nevada residential customer's home receiving natural gas from Southwest Gas. Offer not valid in conjunction with other utility rebates for the same end-use product.

Eligible Weatherization Measures, Requirements and Rebate Levels

Windows U-factor or .30 or lower and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient of .30 or lower $0.95/SqFt
Attic Insulation Must install increment of R-19 or higher; Final condition must be at least R-38 (up to a maximum of R-60) $0.35/SqFt
Floor Insulation Must install increment of R-19 or higher $0.35/SqFt
Duct Sealing and Insulation Duct Sealing: Performance Tested Comfort Systems standards; Duct Insulation: R-6 or higher $475
*Requires natural gas space heating

Southwest Gas reserves the right to verify both the efficiency and installation of weatherization measures prior to issuing rebates.
